Dylan Joshua - twomanytimes (Single)
Soul hip-hop, R&B singer, Dylan Joshua is thrilled to release his new single “TWOMANYTIMES” that is out now.
Dylan says, “We’ve all been there before, in some desperate need of space and a break from people. This track really just embodies the craving to be unbothered. Relationships often create a “Anxious- Avoidant” dynamic, and being an avoidant person who’s just looking for peace and clarity, sometimes you just want to be left alone. Hence ‘miss me with the drama, no I don’t mind”. Moving from Toronto to Atlanta gave me a clean slate that made me realize how peaceful it is to get away from toxic friend groups, or toxic work environments, and toxic relationships and how much more peaceful life could be when your just on some ‘leave alone’ type shit. Being in a cycle of indulging in those environments is super addictive almost because you can become so wrapped up in peoples lives and the well-being of others or other peoples needs that you stop prioritizing your own and it could quite literally burn you out. For me I noticed myself recovering from a burn out and that’s really where the sentiment of this song came from. Just finding peace without drama in my life and wanting to keep my space. After making the reference to this I had it on repeat. My favourite way to listen to this is driving alone, windows down, while the suns going down and really just being unbothered.”
With over 10 million streams across platforms, Dylan Joshua is creating a reputation as an elite level multi-faced artist. The producer, songwriter, designer is carving out a cult-like fanbase through his ability to connect with people using a unique blend of musicality, lyricism and relatable topics. Often compared to veteran acts such as Bryson Tiler, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean, Dylan brings a rugged-emotional feel bending genres of R&B and Hip-Hop.
The Toronto artist conveys personal topics and life’s reality into innovative production to create a truly unique experience for listeners. Inspired of a lifestyle filled with late-night drives, shady cash jobs, toxic relationships, and lonely smoke sessions, Dylan creates an R&B blend of ‘me against the world’ music that makes us all feel like the main character.
