KitschKrieg - German Engineering 1 (Album)

Berlin electronic band KitschKrieg drop their 2nd album, ‘German Engineering 1’, via SoulForce Records. The trio have been making waves in their home country, topping the charts and racking up a billion streams before releasing their first three UK singles this year with handpicked rappers Nemzzz, ARZ and SwitchOTR. They have now enlisted Stefflon Don, Nemzzz and Skillibeng for the lead single ‘Dance’, which combines the finest elements of Dancehall, R&B and Rap to create a sound that affirms KitschKrieg as tastemakers in their native and beyond. ‘German Engineering 1’ spans over ten tracks, and the trio have enlisted features from some of the most in-demand UK & US artists, also including; Midas the Jagaban, SL, Anti da Menace and 2Rare, to name a few.

Since meeting in 2014 through a flatshare, the trio of producers Fiji Kris, Fizzle, and the elusive photographer/ art director °awhodat° has redefined how Germany sounds, looks, and feels. They embody minimalism through their engineering, visuals, photography, and artwork and draw influences from their hometown's electronic music scene and Soundsystem culture. With more than a billion streams to their name, they are known for their sophisticated sonics, contrast-heavy black-and-white imagery, and popular streetwear brand. The band released their critically acclaimed debut album in 2020, which boasts two No.1, Platinum award-winning singles, ‘Standard’ and ‘Unterwegs’.

Over the years, KitschKrieg have worked with a vast range of artists, and they are now kicking off a new chapter with ‘German Engineering 1’, a body of work that embodies the best of UK & US Rap, Garage, Hip-Hop and beyond. The project is the perfect blend of new and old-school influences, and the band pay homage to genres through their impeccable production skills. Cementing their name amongst the scene and its critics, they have received support from BBC R1xtra’s Sian Anderson and Target, GRM Daily, and Mixtape Madness in the build-up to the album.
