Jordy - The Love Ting (EP)
Essex-based, North London-born rapper Jordy drops his highly anticipated 8-track EP, ‘The Love Ting’ featuring JADA, Kehina, Elt Cheekz and Louis Rei. Over the past few months, Jordy has created an undeniable buzz surrounding this project with his latest single, ‘Too Much’, featuring WSTRN'S Louis Rei, receiving co-signs from the likes of Rebecca Judd, Dotty, Target, Kenny Allstar and Sian Anderson. Admired for his penmanship, punchlines and flow, ‘The Love Ting’ sees Jordy adopting a more vulnerable approach to his writing with the EP centred around the theme of love, and each track explores different aspects of this multifaceted emotion. Long-term collaborators OJ, Daniel Miles, and Midnight Phunk were on production duties, and they delivered an eclectic body of work, blending different genres and sounds, allowing Jordy to express himself freely. To accompany the release, Jordy has dropped the sixth episode of his interview series under the same name, ‘The Love Ting’. The series of interviews, with love at the core, explore different aspects of the emotion through Jordy's tongue and cheek lense. Episode six features personality, Dazza who is best known for his work on ‘No Rules’ and ‘Filthy Fellas’.
Jordy rose to prominence due to his storytelling skills. Over the years, he has become one of the most admired voices within the thriving UK Rap scene and owns the title of every ‘rapper’s, rapper’. 2021 was a big year for the artist who dropped his critically acclaimed EP ‘SMH’ and was dubbed ‘one to watch for 22’ by Complex, Hypebeast, Wonderland, Mixtape Madness, and Viper Magazine. 2022 saw Jordy drop his Rap heavy continuation from ‘SMH’ a 6-track EP called ‘KMT’ showcasing his pen-ship, punchlines and dynamic flow, again demonstrating why he is considered one of the best lyricists in the UK Scene. He followed this with a joint mixtape, ‘IF I COUDLNT RAP I WOULDNT RAP’ alongside his cousin and rising rapper Elt Cheekz. Jordy is never one to shy away from freestyles and has performed on; Mad About Bars and Hardest Bars, to name a few.
