Lack of Afro ft: Greg Blackman - Loving Arms (Single)

After ‘All Night’ charmed the airwaves of BBC 6 Music, Radio 2 and Jazz FM, Lack of Afro teams with Greg Blackman, flourishing as a two-man ticker tape parade on a glorious funk and soul outpouring of love and devotion. With horns blowing the house down and organs inducing hallelujahs across the dancefloor, ‘Loving Arms’ will swell hearts and stir emotions with its proud yet reassuring, all-in-together vibe. An end of the night, last dance spectacular – and also a helluva way to make an entrance - Blackman’s starry-eyed vocals are the perfect pick-me-up for when the chips are down.

“I kind of see this as 'Touch My Soul' (Part 2) - it's very much in that vein, it wouldn't have sounded out of place on ‘Press On’. It's just pure joy, pure emotion, so much so that it moved me to tears several times in the writing process. I wanted it to sound like a celebration - of life, of love and of companionship, and Greg Blackman’s gorgeous voice nails the vocal”.

Lack of Afro returns firing on all cylinders with his eighth studio album.  ‘Square One’, set for release on 8th September via his own Bastion Music Group label. Finding inspiration from his recent trip to the US to produce at the legendary FAME Studios at Muscle Shoals, this is an album full of hope, optimism and good times.
