Lucy Park - All Roads (Official Video)

Rising R&B/Soul star Lucy Park reveal’s the video for her scintillating new single, ‘All Roads’.

The luscious, nostalgic video is a dreamy match for Lucy’s mesmerising R&B/dance sound, with the vintage-nature of the video beautifully complementing Lucy’s wistful tones.

Lucy shares further: “The story of the song is set in a diner so when I started planning the visuals, I immediately pictured a bright red booth to be the focus. I knew of an old hotel in LA that had that exact thing so I reached out to Adam Quinn and we brainstormed the visualizer. It ended up just being a fun day of hanging out around the hotel lobby, trying on silly sunglasses in the convenient store and running up and down the staircases (don’t know why they didn’t kick us out). We even snuck a clip of me doing sudoku in there because I’m obsessed. I sort of just wanted the video to be me existing in the little universe of that hotel lobby or diner, and I love how it turned out.”

The track starts with a danceable nylon guitar riff and drums following to settle our ears, with a distinct groove that immediately gets you bouncing along to the track. Lucy states, “I wanted the song to feel like a summer night out in London. It was exactly how I was feeling that day in the studio, so the writing happened so quickly that I finished it in a few hours!”

There is a constant hum of other instruments filling out the mid-range, you are surrounded in a flurry of sound that somehow comes together beautifully to lay a perfect instrumental for the vocal performance.

Lucy’s vocals are alluring and captivating, with all the confidence of a seasoned and acclaimed artist. She sits back into the groove of the song, showing her R&B prowess with simple yet gorgeous harmonies littered throughout the chorus. Relatable lyrics are delivered through vibrant melodies from start to finish. The artist shares that ‘All Roads’ is about two strangers flirting at a diner, and the feeling of being enamoured by a forbidden summer crush. Lucy says: "The song is sort of a dance back and forth between them. It’s about building up a romance in your head while you are still strangers in real life. This is a really new sound for me and I’m so excited for people to hear it!”
