LEOPOLDO - Every Day (Single)

With a debut album set for release in 2024, LEOPOLDO's self-produced sophomore single, “Every Day” pushes genre boundaries and creates a unique and colourful sonic experience for the listener. “Every Day” blends hip-hop production with ambient synths and folk songwriting in a novel way.

From the age of 15, Declan Ryan (aka LEOPOLDO) made a name for himself on Australia's coastal scene. Supporting artists like The Dreggs and Harrison Storm, achieving national radio play, closing in on 1 million streams on Spotify (@Declan Ryan), he gained recognition beyond his years thanks to his masterful guitar playing and soulful voice.

Meet LEOPOLDO: a brash, bold, Brisbane-based 17-year-old. Having released an impressive discography of folk music under his birth name, Declan Ryan's new artistic project, LEOPOLDO, came as a result of a constant expansion of taste in music, art and fashion. Having supported beloved Australian acts including The Dreggs, Harrison Storm and Alivan Blu at some of Australia's premier music venues, this artist is no newcomer. His new self-produced works are fresh and just the right amount of weird.

"Every Day" was self-produced, and recorded in Declan's home studio.

“Folk music has taught me so much about song writing. But I found myself craving more complexity, and I wanted to place a greater emphasis on production. ‘Every Day’ came as a result of a constant expansion in the range of music I listen to. I have taken inspiration from artists like Frank Ocean, Bon Iver and Ye, but also classical music and film scores,” LEOPOLDO said.
