Armand Hammer ft: Pink Siifu - Trauma Mic (Official Video)

Armand Hammer - the duo of pioneering NYC rappers billy woods and ELUCID - have announced their forthcoming album, We Buy Diabetic Test Strips, out 29th September via Fat Possum Records.

The DJ Haram-produced lead single, Trauma Mic featuring Pink Siifu, is out today along with the video.  The visual, which stars DJ Haram, billy woods and ELUCID, is co-directed by acclaimed actor Tim Blake Nelson (The Ballard of Buster Scruggs, O Brother Where Art Thou) and his son Henry Nelson.  “It’s one of those joints where everything really fell into place to create this visceral song that just snowballs, except instead of snow it’s a neodymium magnet cascading down a mountain of discarded pig iron,” say Armand Hammer.

The duo have also announced North America, UK and Europe tour dates which include Manchester and London shows and an album signing session at Rough Trade East.  All confirmed dates are included below, and tickets are on sale now.

We Buy Diabetic Test Strips follows The Alchemist-produced Haram (2021), but is an entirely different album incorporating live instrumentation and featuring an array of innovative producers including El-P, JPEGMAFIA, Kenny Segal, DJ Haram and Black Noi$e, plus guest vocalists Pink Siifu, Moor Mother, Junglepussy, Cavalier, Curly Castro and Moneynicca - the frontman of Philly punk band Soul Glo.  Additionally, jazz virtuoso Shabaka Hutchings shows up on flute and was one of several musicians who sat down with ELUCID and engineer Willie Green for a jam session that helped pour the foundations for WBDTS.
