Monzanto Sound ft: Natty Wylah - Tricksters (Single)

After their killer 'Tomorrow, Tomorrow & Tomorrow' EP, Monzanto Sound return with a brand new remix EP titled 'TT&T Remixed' coming on the 15th September 2023.

Following on from a superb remix of 'Eja' by Dave Okumu supported by the likes of Jamz Supernova, Tom Ravenscroft & Deb Grant and Don Letts on BBC 6 Music, comes second single 'Tricksters' by Monzanto Sound Meets Natty Wylah.

'Tricksters' is a redux of 'The Fool' from the original EP, reworked into a new tune with Mali-I at the controls. The song features the incredible Natty Wylah on the mic. Essentially, 'The Fool' riddim has been reimagined as a year 3000 UK steppas tune, combined with Natty’s singular cross-genre rapping style.

South London's Monzanto Sound fuse together different styles from the African Diaspora and combining them with a hypnotic, psychedelic edge.

They are a high energy, rhythmic group with an ear for space and simplicity capable of getting any crowd moving. Their sonic aesthetic is something that is considered carefully as they incorporate synths and effects in a way that has more inspiration from 90s dance and electronic music. Mimi Koku, the lead singer writes intentional, captivating lyrics, which have an emotional honesty that speak on multiple levels.
