Bradford’s rising star, local icon S Dog  (aka ‘The New King Of Bassline’) unveils another single titled “White Toes” from his forthcoming EP, Estate Royalty executively produced by legendary bassline mastermind Toddla T. The EP is released on September 15th via influential label House Anxiety, who released both S Dog’s last EP.

The sultry new bop produced by Toddla T is a late night club anthem with embellishments of UK Garage with its pitched up sampled vocals and bouncy production. “White Toes” offers a different energy from previous releases, bringing down the tempo ever so slightly so that S Dog’s trademark energy, with that unmistakable high-octane flow and club-honed MC stylings take centre stage as he raps about seduction and attraction.

“White Toes” follows on from the room-shaking “B22s”, an ode to S Dog’s favourite shoe, the Christian Dior B22s where he unpacks every trait of the “charva” lifestyle. Both will feature on his new EP Estate Royalty alongside “On Heat”, one of the summer’s inevitable dancefloor smashes. ‘On Heat’ was one of the cuts where S Dog and Toddla T enlisted one of the most iconic bassline names of all time to join forces production-wise, in the form of the one and only DJ Q, sampling local heroes Unique 3’s 1990 Top 40 cult hit, ‘Rhythm Takes Control’. The historic five-track body-of-work plays a true homage to bassline in every shape and form throughout the sound and scene’s illustrious history.

Toddla himself was born and raised in Sheffield, arguably bassline’s original home, via iconic clubs like Niche ant Tank. After instantly hitting it off with a rare sense of instinctive comradery, following a series of visits to London, S Dog and Toddla had a full EP before they knew it. The collection of tracks that became Estate Royalty give the much talked about re-emergence of bassline exactly the much-anticipated release it had been waiting for. Here is an EP that couldn’t stay truer to its DNA, but also attempts to envisage what lies ahead for club culture. As we welcome back bassline with open arms and assert its rightful place in dance culture’s history books, this spectacular new EP the rising rapper undoubtedly showcases once and for all that with the most exciting production partner by his side, he is without a shadow of a doubt on the very best form of his career.
