Emerging Alternative South London-based singer-songwriter B-ahwe self-releases her second solo track of the year, ‘Infected’, and announces her forthcoming project, 26% MIXTAPE. Following her recent single ‘Ride 2 Nowhere’ - which received support from tastemakers including Victoria Jane, Jyoty and Dan Alani - B-ahwe is back with another fantastical single which sees the singer reconnect with close friend and collaborator TAMBALA. B-ahwe's sensual vocals combine effortlessly across the dreamlike production, co-produced with TAMBALA, with ‘Infected’ coming to life throughout lockdown, a time when we relied on phone calls to feel a connection. The track has infatuation at its core, and highlights the stage in a relationship when you speak on the phone for hours on end, never wanting to put it down.

Of Polish descent, 27-year-old B-ahwe was born and raised in Nottingham, and she uses music to journey through relatable life experiences and themes of self-worth, mental health, feminism and relationships. She studied Jazz and Popular Music at Leeds Conservatoire, where she met TAMBALA, LAUSSE THE CAT & Nix Northwest, who have been inspirational in her musical journey, encouraging her to produce and helping her to develop her signature sound and style. B-ahwe draws from a varied musical palette, with her inspirations ranging from Joy Crookes, Ojerime & Biig Piig to icons such as Erykah Badu and Sarah Vaughan.

Renowned for her live performances, she recently performed at BBC Introducing: Summer By The River, Amazing Grace, The Great Escape, and Gilles Peterson’s ‘We Out Here’ festival. Over the past year, B-ahwe has had some career highlights, including winning the Drake YolanDa Award and touring with Oscar Jerome, Curtis Harding and Nix Northwest, which led to the singer performing in some iconic venues across the UK & Holland. Outside of her solo music, she has collaborated and contributed vocals to various artists and projects, including Nix Northwest, LAUSSE THE CAT and Mitekiss. Along the way, she has received support from Jamz Supernova, Jack Saunders, Sian Eleri and Gilles Peterson.

With a sound that spans multiple genres, including Jazz, R&B, and Soul, B-ahwe is ready to share her songs with the world. She has created an authentic and distinctive sound, using her upbringing and influences to make meaningful music that embodies escapism. The rising singer has already made her mark on 2023 andwas recently selected as one of the support acts for this year's 'Step Up' fund powered by Amazon Music x FAC alongside Nix Northwest, Amie Bluu and Tara Lily.  B-ahwe's second single of the year comes alongside news of a forthcoming tour which will see her perform throughout six locations in the UK.
