OneDa ft: Fat Budha - Love Reality (Official Video)

Ms Manny on The Rise AKA one of Manchester’s finest lyricists OneDa announces her brand new EP ‘Pussy Power’ out October 11 via Heavenly Recordings. The news is paired with the release of her latest single ‘Love Reality’ ft. Fat Budha, and accompanied by the official video.

Announcing her 5-track EP ‘Pussy Power’, set for release October 18 with collaborations spanning a raft of talent – including Fat Budha, Sam Binga, Particle, Dub Phizix and Anaïs – OneDa once again shows her versatile flow that compliments a range of genres whilst maintaining her inimitable sound. The EP is a nod to the inner warrior and strength that comes from feminine energy, OneDa adds: “The true love and acceptance of who I am and the knowledge that this love and acceptance of me and all I embody is the source of my Pussy Power. Pussy Power is enjoying the journey bumps and all, seeing the perfection in the imperfect.”

On the powerful new beat-laden track transitioning from drum and bass to hip hop, the MC confidently adds: ‘Love Reality is about the realisation that finding love through external sources will not suffice. Self love is power, everything else is a false reality. Love reality navigates the journey of self discovery through the power of self love and awareness of what is really needed for growth. Fuck the crowd they are not needed I take life in my stride walking in my truth, standing in my power”. This is a triumphant return for the artist on a constant upward trajectory since her last releases in January with ‘Warriors Daughter’ and ‘Rollin’ produced by Gabe Gurnsey and Mr Scruff respectively. With her ability to eloquently spit with hard-hitting powerful lyrics laden across strong basslines from emerging UK producer Fat Budha, she has created another earworm that is club-ready as much as it is commercially friendly. Inspired from his own Sikh-Panjabi Heritage of raw folk music and attitude, Fat Budha brings a cutting edge and innovative sound to the track as he matches the flow to create an old school track with feelings of swagger, empowerment and strength. He adds: “I needed the track to match Oneda’s energy and emotion that she brings to the stage when performing and I wanted the production to deliver that same feeling. We got in the studio and the chemistry spoke for itself and I feel we captured that throughout the whole track.” On the lively video shot at ‘The Yard’ and Deansgate Canals, reflecting the energy of the track, with OneDa adding: “The video is a fuck you, I do me, I love me vibe. It’s fast paced, bold and a mixture of performance and abstract. It reflects the turbulent but beautiful existence life is when you are on the search for self, for love, and for your own realities to unfold.”
