The verses reflect how I felt going through this with him, the pre-chorus is me coming to the realisation that he’s struggling to communicate, trying to encourage him to speak his truth and the chorus is my heart aching as I am humbled and reminded “Men need love too”. I was there, craving love from a partner who was going through his motions. It’s an element of a relationship we often overlook - how does the man feel? Is the man OK? Where is his head at?”
