ACROS - Reminisce (Album)
Acros, one of the UK's most exciting Hip-Hop stars in the making, drops his debut album “Reminisce” in emphatic fashion. 14 top quality productions, sparkeling bright with a smooth blend of Boom-bap, chilled beats and Jazzy LoFi influences. His intricate wordplays and multi-syllable rhymes stand strong throughout. As the album's title suggests, this is a journey through Acros' life memories dating as far back as school times, right through to life in the present.
Acros aka Joe, who originates from West London, certainly cut no corners in this project. His drive and work ethic were critical in getting this project Across the line, the name of his previous EP release. It certainly shows. Four of the tracks feature top notch artists. None more so than legendary Task Force brothers Chester P and Farma G. Also featured is Manchester's rising producer/rapper Batfunk, plus some cool scratch cuts by Fidel Cutstro.
Reminisce LP is already a classic. There is a great variety throughout the album, and each track moves effortlessly on to the next, making it easy to listen to. The album get’s off to a strong start with “Skools out” and “Last bells” featuring Chester P. Then easing into more laidback reflective tracks such as 'Reminisce' and “Forever Young”. Acros’ signature sound, Reminisce LP boasts a fine blend of productions from beatmakers like Dextah, Maxi Beats, Garabato Beats and also production from the album engineer Satz, “Pen to Paper” and “Unfairground”, the second feature from Chester P and “Time bomb” follow in perfect order.
The final track on the album 'Learnt to love' is the cherry on the cake, describing a happy family life and where Acros is today on his life journey. This track also features his brother Rory adding some smooth musical elements atmospheric vocal harmonies, giving a unique element to the album.
With support from DJ MK & Shortee Blitz on Kiss and Itch FM, plus over 50K streams on Spotify, the album is certainly making waves. Acros’ profile is gaining momentum, he is destined for greatness. Remember the name!!
