Formidable singer-songwriter Pip Millett returns with a new single titled ‘Eating out’ featuring the Grammy Award winning Rae Khalil. This first taste of new music since the release of Pip’s debut album “When Everything Is Better, I’ll Let You Know” marks a new chapter for the acclaimed artist as she comes back as an independent artist.

‘Eating out’ is a stand-out introduction to her new next EP Tell Jimmy out February 15th with Pip’s writing taking centre stage as she playfully tells the tale of catching a lover in the act of cheating. In her distinctively soulful voice you can hear hurt but there’s also this commanding sass and fiery attitude we’ve not seen from her before making it an exciting return. Joined by Rae, there’s harmonious cadence in their vocals as they effortlessly ride the wave of the infectious, guitar-laden beat provided by JSTRNGS.

This newfound independence comes with a fresh sound from the Manchester starlet, further cementing the notion that R&B is not dead with new EP, Tell Jimmy as she delves deeper into the genre whilst still maintaining inflections of soul Pip is known and loved for. Whilst working through infidelity and a break up she travelled to the states, taking matters into her own hands to connect with producers and artists she admires to produce some of her best work to date. Taking inspiration from modern classics such as SZA’s SOS and Jazmine Sullivan’s Heaux Tales, Pip has created something that will resonate with audiences on either side of the Atlantic.
