Chriz Gabriel - English Eyes (Official Video)
With an offering full of beauty, Chriz Gabriel is back with 'English Eyes', an innovative and nuanced song speaking on his struggles with his own self identity, and further cementing Chriz as one of the best to emerge out of this new London music scene.
With layered vocals and dope harmonies 'English eyes' provides an introspective take on Chriz' story until now. From a desire to give up, to the hope of wanting 'to be admired for me', Chriz bears his heart on his sleeve in the new visual.
Inspired by the Chance the Rapper classic, '65th and Ingleside', Chriz takes us from London to Paris, with the desire to 'grind til I hit my 65th not a single sigh'. Through visuals that take the best of Paris' seasonal sights and the homeliness of a northerly Paris Suburb, Chriz shows well the story of a dream becoming a reality, with smooth transitions and killer shots directed by a familiar collaborator, Amin NOZARI, whom he worked with on last year's explosive hit '40 bars and running', the former of which being also shot in the beautiful city.
'Think of the time I didn't like what the mirror seen, last breath willing to part yep' is a line captured in the song's 2nd verse that shows the pain many artists go through. But those push through often prevail. We're glad to see Chriz stayed the course and can't wait to see what is next for him.
