Having received support from the likes of BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamaq, BBC Introducing Wiltshire and Wonderland magazine for her 2022 debut EP ‘Electric’ and counting over 1 million streams for her song ‘Until We Meet Again’ on Amazon Music, London-based singer-songwriter Alice SK unleashes new aspects of her musical spectrum with twisted music video on alternative folk ‘On The Road’ due for release 26th January 2024.

Laid-back keys escalating towards an obsessive indie groove rising up to a higher tempo intertwining with Alice SK’s post-midnight-feel silky vocals is what constitutes ‘On The Road’. Coming alongside a music video directed by Seb Gilmore, the singer-songwriter sits in the backseat of a vintage black car with her partner (played by Ed Piercy) while driving around the colourful and bucolic countryside of England.

Escalating quickly into a black and white claustrophobic space, the perfect love story goes downhill as cracks begin to show and rose tinted glasses start to break.

Seb Gilmore explains: “The film was broken into a series of sub genres; a coming of age movie, a road film, a noir thriller, and a dark fantasy. Within these, it felt obvious to situate the house scenes in a noir black and white space that accentuated the monster her boyfriend was becoming.”

Inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Neil Young or Bob Dylan she listened while growing up but also modern heads like The Strokes or Lily Allen, it was in her teens that Alice seriously felt music as a calling.

Raised in Marlborough, Wiltshire, the seed of her solo project began to take root when she moved to London in 2017. While she played many well known grass roots venues like the Shacklewell Arms or The Old Blue Last, Alice also performed at the Isle Of Wight festival last year.
