ShaqO - ShaqO (EP)

Los Angeles-based artist ShaqO, originally from Rialto, California, is closing out the summer with his self-titled EP, ShaqO. This highly anticipated project has been a long time coming and features six tracks of ShaqO having fun, vibing, and showcasing that he’s here to stay and continue to make a name for himself. Capitalizing off the momentum of his viral single “Go Friend,” featuring India Love, ShaqO continues to deliver hits that compliment his west-coast, party vibes.

ShaqO, whose real name is Shaquille Clark, adopted his artist name from a high school trend where friends would add "O's" to the end of their names. This playful start has evolved into his artistic identity, with ShaqO now solidifying his place in the music industry through his latest release. “It’s about me solidifying myself in music and letting people know I am here,” he says.

The EP represents his journey and determination to thrive despite any obstacles, including his personal challenges with disability. "I want people to know this is real and this disability doesn't mean anything. Ima still pop my s**t every time," he emphasizes.

Describing his sound as a “very versatile West Coast sound that is very relatable and adaptable,” ShaqO brings a blend of feel-good music with a street passion behind it. For those new to his music, ShaqO recommends starting with his track "Mr. Do It Up," which perfectly captures his unique style and high-energy.

Inspired by a wide range of West Coast artists from various eras, along with the classic sounds of oldies, ShaqO's music reflects his passion for authenticity and self-expression. "I love music because it allows me to be who I am. It gives me a chance to express everything and be honest," he shares. His career goals are as ambitious as they are grounded—aiming to sell out shows and make a significant impact in the industry while staying true to himself.

Following the release of the ShaqO EP, fans can look forward to more singles dropping in October and a series of upcoming shows. His message to his fans is clear: “Always remain true to yourself no matter what people say.”
