Jordan Ward x Joony - JRNY (EP)

In hopes of building more momentum from their 2022 collab "IDC" and their new single "Jealousy," Jordan Ward and Joony team up and release JRNY. The six-track effort melds two entrancing voices and spellbinding songwriting, making JRNY a must-listen for R&B lovers.

Their seamless chemistry continues on "Homebody," where they share deep ruminations about grinding through loss and their respective early beginnings. “Ever since my father died, it's go time / I can't even talk, I got no time." On the upbeat "Burning Rubber," Jordan and Joony's vocals shine as they speak about the slippery slopes of love and how their lack of patience could sever ties with their loved ones. Fans get an additional treat, as they receive the “Burning Rubber” visualizer, which includes a fun studio session between the rising R&B stars.

2024 has already been a good year for Jordan Ward, as he racked up several accolades, including a spot on Billboard's 15 Hip-Hop & R&B Artists To Watch in 2024 list and an NAACP Image Awards Nomination for Outstanding New Artist.

Joony, on the other hand, is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter who's been making waves as one of the brightest stars in the industry. He had his first breakout moment on Brent Faiyaz's Wasteland album on the track "FYTB," which debuted at #97 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and this year released his solo project MEMENTO (DELUXE) featuring the standout track “I KNOW (feat. Blxst)”.

With JRNY only being an appetizer, the serving size is more than enough, as Jordan and Joony are the perfect tandem, breathing life into the R&B space.
