This re-production personifies the beauty of the Sergio Mendez & The New Brazil 1977 Disco classic written by Stevie Wonder, respectfully updating this cherished anthem for today's soulful dance floors. Underpinned by layers of Thommy's production with DJ Spen, Gary Hudgins and Michele Chiaverini's first-class musicianship, "The Real Thing" comes packed with a funky bass groove, sublime keys and a stunning Vibes solo, all beautifully wrapped in Tasha's enchanting vocal performance on this very classy remake destined to shimmer under the glitter ball.

International recording artist, Tasha LaRae is blazing her trail around the world with soulful house & R&B vocals. Hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, relocating to Atlanta, Georgia gave Ms. LaRae the inspiration and opportunities needed to develop her unique sound. In 2008 Ms. LaRae joined hip-hop trailblazers as their new lead female vocalist and wrote and performed on several Arrested Development albums including "Strong" 2009, "Standing At The Crossroads" 2012, "Changing The Narrative" 2016, "This Was Never Home" 2016, and "Craft & Optics" 2018. In recent years, Tasha has become a star on the Soulful House scene, releasing her debut solo album, "Tasha", in 2019 along with many singles and collaborations, she has become a firm favourite with the Quantize Recordings fans. Tasha is set to release her second solo album, "Brown Stones & Blue Skies", on Quantize next year.

Acclaimed DJ, Producer and writer Thommy Davis has been working with fellow Baltimorean DJ Spen for many years and together have been running the successful Quantize Recordings and Unquantize labels, along with label co-owner Kelly Spencer. Many know Thommy for his collaborations with Teddy Douglas and Jay Steinhour as the Basement Boys since the late 80's, who produce worldwide hits for Ultra Naté, Crystal Waters, Mass Order and many others, receiving several awards, gold records and a Grammy nomination. Thommy has worked with a multitude of artists as well as on his own solo projects, from his 2006 hit, "Night Train", his 2018 release "Love Sensation" with Susu Bobien & DJ Spen, to his "Mr Davis" Album in 2020, and so many more, he continues to deliver that Baltimorean magic for our dance floors.
