Léks Rivers - Pulp Noir (EP)

British alt-R&B and UK rap innovator, Léks Rivers, is back with a new 3-track EP, ‘Pulp Noir’. A master of genre-bending storytelling, Léks invites listeners on an exhilarating musical adventure that channels freedom, truth, and audacious self-expression.

Inspired by the experimental genius of Jimi Hendrix, the fearless innovation of Prince, and the genre-defying vision of Michael Jackson, Léks draws from a diverse musical lineage that spans from grime to Afroswing, all woven into his unique blend of alternative R&B and opulent hip-hop. ‘Pulp Noir’ epitomizes his dedication to originality—an energetic and joyous EP that captures the euphoric rush of breaking free from convention.

For Léks, the EP stands as a call to action. “I wanted this EP to be a Phoenix moment, a hypnotic, hazy sonic serum that pushes people to embrace their truth, to ask for what they want without holding back.

This EP was born in a spark of inspiration: a late-night studio session transformed by a single moment. Léks recalls, “I’ve serendipitously caught eyes with the girl I’m seeing just as she’s walked in with some food with her wry smile that says a thousand words and it sparked this idea in my head of the tentative tight rope we walk in modern life of not always being as open as we could be. Often people need a disruptive push to express how they truly feel and I wrote the hook first and couldn’t stop singing it, it felt so complete it came fully formed.”

Described by Léks as “an instruction manual on love with one step—you have to go through it”. The EP radiates youthful energy, playful wit, and an irresistible charm that invites listeners to live in the moment. As Léks puts it, “I hope this inspires people to be open with how they feel and express themselves freely. Don't be fearful, what you seek is in the place you're most scared to go!

‘Pulp Noir’ isn’t just music—it’s a call to liberate yourself, to live freely and unapologetically.
