EV - Chaos (Official Video)
EV unleashes a rallying cry for those who grew up without a silver spoon with his explosive new single ‘Chaos’.
Already anticipated by fans, the track is accompanied by a visual courtesy of director duo BABY (Henry Oliver and Justin Du Pre). Through his signature blend of energetic production and evocative lyricism, EV wears his life experience as a badge of honour: ’Chaos’ is a cathartic ode to weathering the constant uncertainty of life on a council estate.
The third single from his forthcoming EP, ‘Chaos’ follows the feel good nostalgia of ‘Sorry Mum’ and explosive punk and bass of ‘Cuppa Tea’ - each new drop expands the scope of what to expect from the fast-rising Ipswich artist’s anticipated new release.
Released via Polydor’s dance imprint Chaos, the EP will continue the momentum of DJ’s, Dealers and Raves EP, released independently earlier this year, which chronicles a night out in London and considers the “living for the weekend” mentality of British working class culture.
Having garnered a cult following from a prolific 2024, EV is giving fans an opportunity to get closer to his studio process, tour life and day-to-day with his newly launched YouTube series ‘EVISODES’. Following his sold out London headline show at Corsica Studios, EV is currently on tour supporting Charlotte Plank, ahead of European and Australian dates and a headline UK run - with dates in London, Leeds and Newcastle - in 2025.
With his unabashedly relatable lyrics, EV has already become a one to watch for tastemakers with early support from DJ Interplanetary Criminal, Abbie McCarthy, BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders and BBC introducing. Last year his ‘Friday Nights’ single garnered Radio 1’s Track of the Week, and his feature on Ben Gerrans’ ‘English Lad’ went viral, finding a global community on TikTok, hitting Spotify’s Viral 50 across Europe and getting support from Apple Music Electronic editorial.
EV is picking up the gauntlet to continue a lineage of working class poets, utilising club culture and music to amplify his voice in order to spread a message of hope to those across the country that feel disenfranchised.
