Wiz Khalifa - Hit It Once (Single)

Multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY and Golden Globe nominated rap icon Wiz Khalifa releases hypnotic reggae inspired single ‘Hit It Once’. The track releases via Taylor Gang/BMG. The track is produced by Wiz Khalifa alongside ID Labs, Kenneth Wright, Jason Martin, Dominique Sanders, Chris Mckorkel, and G One. Alongside the track, he has also dropped a video directed by Maya Table, in which Wiz embarks on a journey to drop off Khalifa Kush to various friends throughout the day.

On ‘Hit It Once’, Wiz Khalifa exhibits all the qualities that built his cultlike fanbase, as he combines his warm, laid back flow with an irresistibly relaxing instrumental, lacing the track with references to cannabis culture and finer living. Weaving in hazy lyrical imagery, the track delivers the classic Wiz Khalifa sound, perfect for soundtracking chill sessions with friends or even setting the vibes before a big night out. There is an additional Dub Version of the track to honor the reggae tradition of releasing the Dub Version as a B-side.

The track is the fourth single taken from the upcoming album, following on from ‘Bring Your Lungs’ (ft. Smoke DZA), ‘Hide It’ (ft. Don Toliver) and ‘Khalifa’s Home’. Kush and Orange Juice 2, the follow up to his cult classic Kush and Orange Juice mixtape from 2010. The new album promises to bring back the nostalgic mixtape energy that Wiz’s fans love, 15 years later. Wiz Khalifa’s career has seen him go from underground pioneer to household name, all whilst maintaining his artistic integrity and serving as a bastion of good vibes and positivity within the scene.
