As the leaves fall  and colder months settle in, award-winning British-Nigerian singer-songwriter and musician Ego Ella May releases FIELDNOTES: COMPLETE, a project concluding the FIELDNOTES EP series, featuring new single Winter Sun. FIELDNOTES: COMPLETE also includes the bonus track Miss You.

“Winter Sun is about how you feel when the sun finally comes out after days of grey, dull skies during the season. It’s about the warmth kissing your face and how everything seems okay once the sun comes out—it’s the little things. I made it with Lvther at Brixton Studios, and it must have been a cold, dark day when we were just wishing for brighter days to come. I’m excited to finally wrap up the project this way before moving on to album number two next year!”

Ego Ella May channels genre blending R&B and Neo-Soul with a deep respect for Jazz. Her critically lauded debut album, Honey For Wounds, blended soul-tingling Jazz, R&B and Neo Soul with searingly honest and personal observations about self-healing, protest, love and loss.

Undone from FIELDNOTES PT III / FIELDNOTES: COMPLETE was featured in the second episode of the critically acclaimed SKY/Peacock TV series The Day of the Jackal. This year, Ego Ella May made her Canadian live debut on the main stage at the Montreal Jazz Festival and sold out her debut headline show at the legendary Ronnie Scott's in London. Ego Ella May has been nominated in the Best Jazz Act category for the 2025 MOBO Awards.
