Ben Stancombe x Solomon ft: Col3trane + AntsLive - I Wish I Didn’t Miss You (Angie Stone Cover) Studio Session 3 (Video)

London, February 2023: Songwriter, creative and music producer Ben Stancombe releases his latest studio video with singer songwriter Solomon. The reveal is the third in a series of collaborative producer and artist videos featuring Col3trane and AntsLive (Mobo Nominated & Amazon Artist to Watch 2024) to date. The production shines a spotlight on the creative process between the artist and producer, with original videos interwoven by a unique aesthetic.

Ben Stancombe has created a highly effective and sought-after approach to producing music. By prioritising connection, relationship building, and providing a 360 holistic offering, Ben has created a space that fosters creativity and produces high-quality content. It's no surprise that his studio has become a go-to destination for both up-and-coming talent, and established musicians looking to create something outstanding.

Speaking of the project, Ben says: “Collaborating with Solomon for this was a real special one. 'Wish I Didn't Miss You' by Angie Stone has been one of my favourite tune’s for as long as I can remember, and I’ve wanted to re-work and put my own spin on this record. Solomon's voice brings a whole new dimension to the track. Aside from the pure talent he is to create with, Solomon really is one of the most calm and optimistic people I’ve worked with. When you’re covering such a classic song, I personally didn’t want to straight up copy it. It’s important that I put my take on it, and play it to make it really authentic to me. Hopefully whoever watches this gets the same joy that we did making it.”

Echoing Ben’s sentiment, Solomon says, “Ben Stancombe the GOAT. I didn’t know what to expect coming into this session but it was crazy what we were left with (a beautiful piece of content, the beginnings of a new song and a new friend I know I’ll definitely be collaborating with in the future). When I first arrived, Ben very passionately presented me his idea straight off the bat, and hit play on what he’d been working on for the rendition of ‘Wish I Didn’t Miss You’. At first I was like “damn, this dude really wants to do a cover?” but as soon as I started singing over it, I was like “nah, this is crazy”. I must say, the boy chose a classic . Ben and I have plans to cook up some more magic (hopefully in LA) and I’m really looking forward to it! We’ve got some incredible music to make.”

With over a decade in the music industry, Ben has merged his background of interior design and musical talent to create a contemporary and state-of- the-art studio in the UK. A highly sought-after sanctuary for artists, the oval-shaped loft, filled with plants and natural light, provides an immersive and inspiring environment. Ben prioritises connection and relationship building and believes that by immersing an artist in his home, he can fully understand, realise and nurture the artist's creative vision, leaving artists feeling inspired and eager to return. Artists are usually hosted at Ben’s home and studio for 2-5 days, allowing the producer and artist relationship to be nurtured, and providing a level of commitment and dedication that is valued by his clients.

The live music videos offer fans an insight into Ben’s unique and holistic approach to producing; a creative flair that’s creating a buzz across the industry. These live sessions provide a valuable opportunity for artists to showcase their talent and connect with fans in a more intimate way. Ben often collaborates with other filmmakers during an artist's stay to create bespoke online content. These shoots provide an effective opportunity for artists to showcase their talent and connect with fans in a more intimate way. Ben works with prolific filmmakers including Ben Martyn Smith, Owain Ulyet, Billy Seeberg.
