One of London’s most promising alternative R&B voices KeepVibesNear is returning with eagerly anticipated new project ‘NOIR.’, releasing February 23rd on Melting Pot Music. With features by rappers Benny Banks and Gwadalean, and singer Jay Lewn, as well as production by Harvey Whyte and Nikhil Beats.

With this substantial, eight-track EP, KVN reaches new heights but stays true to his warm though dark & emotive leftfield sound he likes to call NOIR R&B. “For me, NOIR. is a feeling. Something about the dark that makes us think. I see NOIR. as a prequel that represents a time in my life that was very dramatic and emotional and took me a lot of introspection to overcome,” KVN explains. Defying most sonic conventions, you could file ‘NOIR.’ under modern R&B with an electronic twist and jazzy undertones.

The previously released singles in the run-up to ‘NOIR.’ were accompanied by visuals, created by Henry Croston and co-directed by KVN himself. The black-and-white videos effortlessly transport you into his world and mind, highlighting the sentiment of his refreshingly honest and poignant lyrics. The artwork was created by London painter, designer, and long-time friend of KVN’s, UNVRSL NMD.
