Bien Et Toi - So Long (Single)
Bien Et Toi, the solo project of Grammy and Ivor Novello-nominated producer and songwriter Gianluca Buccellati, returns with an electrifying new single, "So Long." Teaming up with the dynamic duo Paris Texas, Bien Et Toi delivers a fresh sonic experience that showcases his signature blend of genres, and captures listeners' attention with its immersive storytelling and relaxed, yet infectious rhythm.
“Working with Paris Texas on their album Mid Air was an enriching experience. They bring a distinctive way of storytelling to this song, and I was eager to explore a more relaxed vibe with them," shares Bien Et Toi. "Their commitment to their craft is unparalleled, and I'm thrilled to have them on board for this track."
Alongside the single release, Bien Et Toi also announces the forthcoming 'London Safari II' EP, set for release 3rd May via AMF Records/Temple Records, giving fans a truly dynamic and unique experience. It’s this new sense of community that’s at the heart of ‘London Safari II’ and Bien et Toi as a whole – likeminded musicians and artists coming together in freeing and unrestricted ways, and pushing each other out of their respective comfort zones.
In addition to the new single, Bien Et Toi recently unveiled a live session for his previous release, "Signs," featuring the mesmerising vocals of Halima. Shot in NYC and directed by Alexander Kumph, the session offers a visual counterpart to the soulful and introspective track. "I was feeling inspired by seventies funk and the likes of Parliament Funkadelic and Led Zeppelin. Musically, those influences came out in this song,’ says Bien Et Toi.
The New York-born, Los Angeles-based artist Bien et Toi has been nominated for Grammy and Ivor Novello Awards and won a Mercury Prize for his work on Arlo Parks’ debut album “Collapsed in Sunbeams.” With a portfolio featuring Lana Del Rey (“Lust For Life”), Biig Piig (“The Sky is Bleeding”), Tei Shi, Paris Texas, Declan McKenna, and more, Bien et Toi now marks a shift, pursuing an independent direction to craft a unique sonic landscape.
His recent releases, “London Safari I” and “Voici” EPs, have received critical acclaim and secured features in notable publications such as Clash, GUAP, 10 Magazine, Notion, The New York Times, and more. “Voici” explores a sophisticated, romantic, and dark sonic world, skillfully reshaping traditional electronic forms for a dreamy, soulful sound. In “London Safari I,” Buccellati showcases his artistic strengths, crafting a new sonic experience with intricate production and hip-house vocals.
As Buccellati steps into the spotlight as a solo artist, a new and exciting chapter unfolds, described by his unwavering commitment to crafting authentic and diverse sounds, offering a glimpse into his forthcoming EP and the breadth of his artistic vision.
