After the success of the single ‘Sweet Spot’ in the autumn of last year, R&B singer-songwriter Chel has announced the release of the soulful new track ‘Still Working’. Utilising a beat that plays warm and steady piano melodies against bouncy drums and punchy bass, Chel brings a sultry vocal performance layered with angelic harmonies for a dreamy atmosphere. As Chel’s vocals soar, we are introduced to a laid-back and romantic feature from Zeenomusik, their vocals intertwining with a heartfelt balance.

Chel shares, ”I’ve never had to apologise to a man before about any serious wrong doings. I got sent this beat, and immediately thought about writing from that perspective. When a woman gets it wrong, when a woman loses a good man. Good thing it’s in a song, because I’d never say these things in real life!”

Chel grew up in a suburb of North London, where a teenage desire to create music led to an enrolment in a school of performing arts. After honing her talents for R&B and Pop, Chel took to open mic nights in 2017. By the next year, she released her debut EP ‘Reclaiming My Love’. Since this release, Chel has collaborated with the likes of C Cane and Joey K for ‘I Got It’ and ‘Love Me’ respectively, earning her features on RNBrit, GRM Daily, Link Up, Mixtape Madness, The Voice Newspaper, Raydar Magazine, Noctis Magazine, Into The Culture, SpotlightFirst and Industry Me.

Showing video production prowess for ‘Next Level’ and ‘Pesa (Give It All)’, and musical talent in further EPs ‘NOLAH’ and ‘Love.Obsession.Lust’, Chel returned in 2023 with ‘Sweet Spot’, a single which saw further press acclaim reach the artist.
