Natasha Ejaz x Noni-Mouse - Miracle 2.0 (Remix) (Single)
Natasha Ejaz and Noni-Mouse have teamed up together for the release of UK Garage inspired single ‘Miracle 2.0’ Remix, out now.
Initially released as ‘Miracle’ in August 2023 as part of Natasha Ejaz’s debut album ‘Ordinary Miracle’, she recently enlisted Noni-Mouse to recreate the original version through her vision to come up with ‘Miracle 2.0’, in a remix that is reminiscent of the early 90’s Bally Sagoo-inspired, UK breaks-meets-Urdu release. After her album release, Natasha approached some of her favourite producers to check if they were interested in remixing any of the songs on the record, with Noni being one of them. Noni took special interest with the release plan, the tracks creative and marketing direction, whilst also scheduling regular creative meetings between the two leading to the artwork expertly photographed, designed and executed by Iman Shahid on a cold winter’s night in Islamabad. The two met each other as part of Spark! Residency 2022, where they both left sharing a mutual respect for each other's craft, all leading to this moment where they have teamed up to curate a sonic sounding remix single. The end product is a single that is sure to cross the continent, becoming present across playlists and DJ sets alike.
Noni-Mouse who was specially selected to implement her own sound on the remix is an artist and composer, DJ and producer based in Mumbai, India. A creative who operates at the intersection of sexuality and numen who employs and champions vocals in all her works to convey concepts and stories. Inspired through her childhood and attending religious gatherings where music, movement and divinity played a monumental part, her work aims to glue her surroundings with larger than life melodic matter and unsparing arrangements. Talking about the release and the story behind it, Natasha explained: “Noni-Mouse wanted very much to pay homage to the UK Garage scene so we’ve tried our best at bringing a fresh take to that era in music. For me, it was important that the song reach a new audience still retaining the essence of the original and Noni-Mouse made me really happy with her take on this desperate love song Nimra and I had written.”
The two coming together has provided a platform for both to express their creative nous, and it feels on this occasion the remix will bolster their reputations across Asia and the rest of the world. Natasha had received previous support from the likes of Forbes, Resident Advisor, The News International, and also performed at Boiler Room Pakistan, meanwhile, Noni-Mouse had been included in Mixmag Asia’s ‘Artists Exciting Us in 2024’, moreover, with the duo coming together to collaborate on this powerhouse of a single, the same results are sure to be expected.
