PREMIERE: Addict Ameba ft: Joshua Idehen - Look At Us (Official Video)

“Look At Us” is the second single from Addict Ameba's new album, “Caosmosi”. Based in Milan but with eyes and hearts open to the rest of the world, Addict Ameba are a multi-faceted and talented collective by eleven musicians, each with their very different background, from Afro to punk.

“Look At Us” sees the feat. by the Anglo-Nigerian artist Joshua Idehen, already the voice of projects of the caliber of Sons of Kemet and The Comet is Coming. The song is based on a poem with multiple levels of reading; almost as if it were a prayer, in which the poet turns to a sky which he asks to look at a humanity torn apart by war, neocolonialism, environmental collapse, chauvinism. Hope lies in some verses that indicate in suffering - individual and species - a way of introspection and redemption, with a final invitation to be protagonists and change this time, before it changes us.

“Caosmosi” (La Tempesta / Black Sweat Records) will be released on April 19, 2024, a title which is a portmanteau of chaos and cosmos and which recalls the book of the same name by the French philosopher Felix Guattari, with the hope of identifying new trajectories of emerging from the delirium of the post-modern, constructing new and subversive lines, as only certain music or poetry can do.

Faithful to the objective of bringing together different paths, traditions and horizons in their music, in "Caosmosi" we move between desert-blues and afrobeat landscapes, with latin rock rides and ethio- jazz parentheses.
