THE GREAT ESCAPE ANNOUNCES: 8 NEW SPANISH ARTISTS ADDED TO THE FESTIVAL LINE-UP
Wednesday 3rd April 2024 – The Great Escape, the festival for new music, have today shared details of a special TGE Madrid live showcase event in collaboration with Lead Country Partner, Spain. Taking place at Madrid’s Intruso Bar on 18 April, the event will feature live performances from Galician-born experimental dance artist Sila Lua and British teen punks Noah & The Loners, as well as a media, fan and music industry mixer.
The festival has also announced eight new Spanish artists for the 2024 line-up, boasting the breadth of the country’s diverse and exciting new music scene.
The new line-up additions include melancholic post-punk artist and producer Depresión Sonora, soulful R&B and star of ‘Culpe Mia’ Eva Ruiz, dynamic alt-pop artist Lala Hayden, stripped-back folk-pop singer-songwriter Mavica, Barcelona-based melodic pop band Mujeres, avant-garde electronic dream-pop artist Ona Mafalda, Spanish urban music and trailblazing dance act SILA LUA and retro rock’n’rollers The Gulps.
Spain was announced as Lead Country Partner for 2024 earlier this year and, led by The Spanish Wave and TGE, they will present a full programme with two showcases, panels on the Spanish music industry and industry receptions. The Great Escape’s Spanish partners include: The Spanish Wave, AIE, Fundaćion SGAE, Instituto Cervantes, Live Nation Spain, Ticketmaster Spain Radio 3 and Mondo Sono
