Born in the Uk with roots from Mauritius Minou Nombreuse is a blend of both island spice and grit, with melody’s that take you to a whole new place and vibes that make your hips move.

Moonlight is the first single that I’ve chosen to release as it is showcases my vocal range being a R&B singer and my love for all things afrobeat and Afro pop through the production.

It’s my way of saying This is Minou Nombreuse and she is here to shift narratives.

She chose the lead single to be titled “Moonlight” because of her connection and interest to planets and the solar system , “I’m not a science girl but I have always been interested in Astrology and the way our bodies connect with planets”.

In Astrology terms, the Moon represents the feminine energy so Moonlight is all about that divine energy and tuning into that frequency through sound , energy and dance.

To Minou, the song is all about tapping into that that coolness and slight mystery but still embodying this strong light that the moon naturally does at night (moonlight) it’s a feel good timeless song, a song for when you having that night drive, it’s all about mood.

Her influences are from the 2000s and the way R&B songs had a sense of joy and coolness like this song, from people such as Brandy, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson and TLC who made beautiful marks in the game “I want to do the same thing because to me it’s not just music it’s also a experience I’ll call it “THE MINOU EXPERIENCE”.
