Kasien - Turn My Swvg On (Official Video)

Trailblazing London Rapper Kasien returns from a brief hiatus with his new single 'Turn My Swvg On'. Flitting between moods, 'Turn My Swvg On' begins with a blissed-out exposition of Kasien's superstar vision before unleashing a menacing insight into his extravagant lifestyle. Reuniting with long-time friend and collaborator Kelvin Krash (ASAP Rocky, Doja Cat, Swedish House Mafia), the production offers unpredictable trap-infused sounds that remain key to Kasien's artistic DNA. Flexing his ability to sing and rap, "Turn My Swvg On' sees Kasien re-introduce himself to old and new fans driven by a pioneering fusion of genres leading contemporary UK Rap.

“The track sets the foundation for where I'm about to take this music game. It’s fun, sexy and raw which reflects the environment and circumstances of how it was made. It’s for people to enjoy ahead of an incredible run to come this summer.”

Before co-signs from ASAP Mob and Ayra Starr, touring with Bakar and travelling the world with Ciesay (founder of Places Plus Faces), Kasien was born and raised in South London. His earliest music memories were in the house where his dad - a MOBO Award Winning DJ - would play 50 Cent, G Unit, Snoop Dogg, and The Game. After discovering homegrown talents, such as Dizzee Rascal and early UK Rap pioneers he saw on Channel U, he began spitting lyrics in the school playground. Life changed for Kasien when he relocated to Nigeria as a teen, and a culture shock forced his developing musical abilities to have a universal appeal. Another silver lining was meeting like-minded creatives, Mowalola, Davido, and Teezee, with whom he remains in close contact. Once completing his education, Kasien returned to London and began plotting the next phase of his life, where he spent years maintaining a behind-the-scenes role while fully immersing himself in the culture at any opportunity. When it finally came time to put his music together, Kasien and producer Kelvin Krash had already forged a relationship with ASAP Rocky, who welcomed the duo to use their New York-based studio, where they eventually created their debut project '6FT UNDER'. The project's immediate impact earned support far and wide, resulting in tour support for Comethazine and Bakar, amongst solo shows across the UK and Europe. Since then, Kasien's musical releases have been featured in HBO's 'We Own This City', Michael B. Jordan's Creed 3, and Forza Motorsport, confirming his sonic's global appeal.

Over time, Kasien's core fans have remained connected to his creative output, including collaborations with P-rallell, Masterpeace, FLOHIO and Mike Skinner. Last year, Kasien released his, 'Don't Let The Devil In' album with the standout single 'Do What I Like', co-signed by Ayra Starr, which went viral on TikTok and quickly became his biggest release. Now Kasien looks forward to his upcoming project 'Everybody Must Pay', a true reflection of his current artistic state and a body of work that he cites as "a movie packed with violence, sex and adventure".
