Ghost Writerz - Get What You Want (Single)

Get ready for a fresh dose of UK dancehall with a hip-hop twist! Jimmy Screech returns with his production crew, Ghost Writerz. The UK-based dancehall and hip-hop fusion group are back with a brand new single, "Get What You Want" (GWYW).

Ghost Writerz are poised to reignite the UK dancehall scene with their electrifying single, "Get What You Want" (GWYW). The song tackles infidelity with a comedic twist, reminiscent of the classic "It Wasn't Me" by Shaggy and Rayvon.

This infectious track showcases the crew's signature bass-heavy production alongside witty lyrics and a light-hearted approach.

"It was one of the tracks that got all of us jumping around in the studio and laughing to ourselves," Ghost Writerz said about 'GWYW.' "We knew this one had a special energy that would translate live."

"GWYW" is a strong return for the team and a taste of what's to come from Ghost Writerz. Get ready for a summer filled with the irresistible sounds of UK dancehall, courtesy of Jimmy Screech and the Ghost Writerz!

Born and bred in South London to Jamaican parents, Jimmy Screech blends heritage with local hip-hop vibes in his music. The legendary Roots Manuva noticed his unique style, signing him to Banana Klan and dropping his debut album, "In This Life."

Recognised as "One to Watch" by the Mercury music institution, Screech rocked Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, and Lovebox festivals and radio embraced their fusion with Rodney P, Serocee, and more!

Screech's follow-up, "The Remedy," with Roots Manuva, won acclaim from Capital Xtra, BBC Radio 1Xtra, The Independent and the Observer. Post-tour, he teamed up with Sleepy Time Ghost to form Ghost Writerz, dropping "All The Way" on the label Tru Thoughts.
