Project 6 Festival 2024 Review

Shots by Crud Shots

Friday 24th May we kicked off our festival season with Project 6 at the infamous Brockwell Park. The heart of UK underground radio Rinse FM celebrated their 30th Anniversary and what a way to do it! Listen, when we tell you these lot know how to put on a partaaay!

We were dancing every chance we could get until our feet were hurting. We sang our hearts out at Katy B and Ms. Dynamite’s sets as the nostalgia of childhood loomed in the air and we grasped we both hands. The atmosphere of the crowd was electric everywhere we went. It didn’t matter if you didn’t know who the artists were because the energy levels were top tier, you would just groove away regardless. A mixture of Hip Hop, Drum & Bass with a dash of Jungle, Dubstep, Techno, and Grime thrown into the mix. There was even some unexpected Amapiano on the Places + Faces stage which I personally gladly welcomed. AJ Tracey played bangers and brought our special guest Aitch. STEAM DOWN were bouncing around on the Fabriclive stage with so much energy the audience were jumping around with them it was beautiful to be part of. SBTRKT took us back in time and played one of my favourite songs ‘Wildfire’.

The sun had gone in and it was time to dance away the last of our energy to Shy FX. As the music pulsated through us turns out we were defeated as our feet decided to give up on us. We looked around taking in the last of the Fabriclive stage and the wonderful lights displaying around us. We decided to head over to the main stage to end our night. Nines gave us quintessential british hip hop at its finest ending the main stage with stunning visuals. The crowd winding down and rapping along to their favourite tunes whilst bopping their heads in time to the music.

The some of the highlights of our day included Oscar #Worldpeace, AJ Tracey, CASisDEAD, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, Nines, STEAM DOWN and more.

Second year running and we would highly recommend this new festival!
