Building a strong relationship with his supporters with his candid and relatable approach, ‘Life, Love & Upsets’ encapsulates the human experience, from the intricacies of falling in love and the challenges of everyday life, this 6-track EP is his most vulnerable project yet. Opening the project with “Every Last Detail” a song about not taking everyday for granted and instead taking in each and every moment, we swiftly maneuver through to “Cold Stare”, a nod to finding the light even in the darkest of times and making a stronger comeback. Confronting an innate ability to love despite previous hardships in “Bruised One”,  to the glistening advocacy of strength and optimistism in “Don’t Quit Trying”. Never giving up on your dreams, Mackay reflects on his turbulent journey as he makes his mark in the world. Closing out with two-brand new tracks “Looking Like That”, the lead single, pays ode to an infatuating love, and “Home”, a song of enlightenment as we veer an end to this cohesive EP, Mackenzy Mackay continues to push boundaries and solidify why he’s an international success.

When asked about the meaning behind the EP, Mackenzy Mackay shared, "Life, love and upsets encompasses the whole human experience. Going through the mix of emotions, the ups and downs of life. Those days of feeling broken, the days of feeling great, days of feeling in love, every chapter of feelings we experience throughout our time in this world”, he explained. “It’s about life, everyday life we all live, everyone’s life is different but we’re all not too dissimilar. It’s about love. I have a huge heart and I like to write about my love and my experience of being in love with someone. It’s about upsets, the things that hurt us in life, loss of our loved ones, not getting to say goodbye properly, heartbreaks etc…It’s my past 12 months in 6 songs”.

Since his debut in 2022, Mackenzy Mackay has accumulated over 100 million streams across DSP’s as well as a growing following of just under 1 million supporters online.
