Jerome Thomas - Pull Up (Single)

Jerome Thomas presents ‘Pull Up’, the third single from pending new project Submerge (19.07. LP & Digital). Having often stated that his songs are based on scenarios he imagines himself to be in, it is safe to say that this release is a rare glimpse into the artist’s personal life. ‘Pull Up’ is an intimate tale of wandering the backstreets of Dalston’s estates, en route to visit your oldest and dearest friends. ‘Pull Up’ is produced by Pitch 92.

On the track’s origins, Jerome explains: "Naturally I am an introvert and reserve my exuberance for those I consider close to me, friendship and community has often been my saviour in bleak times. 'Pull Up' is a tribute to my close circle of friends and how it’s always a safe space with them.” An uncomplicated beat with a dexterous bassline, ‘Pull Up’ is decorated by intertwining, journeying vocal lines and an invitation to meet all the equally inspired souls that colour Jerome’s character.

The true heart and soul of Hackney, London, Jerome Thomas is an undeniable powerhouse of talent and dedication. Known for a vocal that soars, seduces and sighs and oceans of deep harmonies that underpin deftly melodic tales of love, sorrow, elation, and frustration. This challenging music is the result of a myriad of loyal producers such as Pitch 92, Talos, FloFilz, Warren Xcellence, Mathsxjoy, Jarreau Vandal, Blue Lab Beats, Joe Armon Jones, Maxwell Owin and Bluestaeb. Jerome through these impressive works has garnered attention from Afropunk, COLORS, Clash, BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Highsnobiety, Complex, Vogue Italia, MTV & i-D.
