TFace sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer our infamous 10 Questions:
1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?
It all began when I was 3 years old. When I went to church with my family I would grab my own little chair to stand on for me to conduct the church choir! From then on, my family could see the talent I have for music so I thank God for this blessing.
2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?
Artists that inspire me who I would work with in the future would be definitely Stormzy, Dave, Headie One and Clavish. I really like the way these artists sound on beats and I reckon bangers could be made together!
3. What projects do you have coming up and can you give us any info on them?
First of all, I have the Remix for Moneh coming out this summer, followed by another single. I also have an EP coming soon so stay tuned for it, I can’t wait to bless the peoples ears!
4. How would you describe your sound?
I would say my sound is versatile, I can do a lot of different styles when it comes to music. It can go from rapping with numerous flows to singing in different tones, versatility is key. My preferred style of sound is being jumpy on a fast beat (drill).
5. What's your proudest moment to date so far as an artist?
My proudest moment is performing in front of my whole college on my last day because it just made me realise how far I can really go with this! As soon as I stood on the bench I heard the whole college scream and it just gave me that ‘superstar’ feel which I feel so proud of.
6. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to play the mad game of music?
My advice that I would give to the readers is do not give up whatsoever. Some people take weeks, months, years and decades just to receive recognition. You have your own lane and journey, just make sure you reach your destination. Me personally it took me 7 years before I became noticed heavily, and every rapper must know, this is a patient game!
7. Are there any artists on your radar right now that we should check out?
I would say either DeeGreen, Jevzino or JD Squada, they are very good rappers! There are also Leicester rappers on the rise so be sure to look out for them!
8. What albums are on heavy rotation on your Spotify playlist currently?
An album I have on repeat at the moment is ‘My Turn’ by Lil Baby, the album goes too hard! My favourite songs on ‘My Turn’ are ‘Humble’ and ‘Get Money’ because the lyrics are more than relatable and the Album name itself feels like it was made for me, due to it being My Turn!
9. What do you like to do when you're not making music?
When I am not making music, I am either listening to music or making moneh or vibing out with friends! Another thing about me is I like to go to the gym a lot, can’t be looking bummeh in the summer!
10. Name Three things you can't live without when in the studio?
3 things I can’t live without in the studio is Fanta Fruit Twist, a charger, and my phone. These are all very essential to me, if I didn’t have one of these, the session wouldn’t hit the same!
