Dyloco - Stop Signs (Single)

Introducing Dyloco, a London born Rapper, producing his own UK Garage and Rap beats and dropping hard hitting lyrics to boot. Dyloco, who comes from South London but now resides in North, dropped his first track 'The State Of It All' in August 2023, a damning condemnation of the Tory government. It received praise by other politically minded artists such as Cold War Steve and Sleaford Mods, as well as being played on BBC Radio London.

Dyloco followed up with a UK Garage influenced track, 'Dutch Courage', which used catchy vocal samples over a 2-step beat. Dyloco likes the UK Garage x Rap theme, seeing it as a merging of his favourite genres. Being from London he took a great deal of influence from the UK Underground music scene, with genres like Dubstep, Grime and UK Rap in heavy rotation throughout his youth. Dyloco's school, Elliott in South West London, boasted musical alumni from The XX to Hot Chip, Burial to Four Tet as well as a few members of So Solid Crew, which undoubtedly influenced his taste and belief that music could be a viable career path.

Dyloco is still in the early stages of his career, but he is intent on carving a lane that fuses electronic music with Rap/Hip Hop, and runs the Youtube Channel Central Sound, which aims to promote and document this style amongst other artists. And his latest release, Stop Signs, is a continuation of this, with eerie vocal samples, tough drums and hard hitting bars. The lyrics themselves touch on themes of his ill health, which is left somewhat ambiguous, as well his relationship with London and City life in general. The track is unique in that you can't quite put the finger on the vibe; is it uplifting, is it pensive, is it just a place for Dyloco to vent? Whatever it is, it is live now!
