Killer Mike - Humble Me (Official Video)

Killer Mike has released his new single, ‘Humble Me‘, it finds the rapper addressing his arrest at the Grammy Awards earlier this year, where he also won the Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance categories.

“I was in the studio the very next day.  I'm as inspired as ever and I'm just following the music at this point.  All my heroes have been cuffed and mishandled in some way.  I just thanked God in that moment of being Daniel in the lion’s den”, says Mike, reflecting on that eventful day.  "I came out of the jailhouse in the pouring rain to my wife waiting for me, lit a joint, celebrated a bit and then woke up and got the news about my son's kidney,” he continues, referencing the news that a kidney donor was found for his son, who appears at the end of the Humble Me video.

In addition to his Grammy sweep, last night Mike picked up the BET Award for Album Of The Year; watch his emotional acceptance speech here.

Humble Me arrives ahead of a fresh body of work, due out later this summer, and Killer Mike and The Mighty Midnight Revival choir will tour the UK and Europe in August:
