Fliptrix - Making Waves (Official Video)

Prolific lyricist and all-round vibes merchant Fliptrix returns with the latest instalment from his forthcoming tenth solo album ‘Dragonfly’ which you can pre-order HERE.

Embarking on fresh sonic pathways that introduce a whole new atmosphere to his most recent work; ‘Making Waves’ (which is out now on High Focus Records) produced by Illinformed, confirms that Fliptrix is just at home on high energy, double-time heaters as he is on more traditional BPMs; flexing different schemes and patterns as the track unfolds. From being high up in the mountains to taking to the stage, and the contrast in that exchange, ‘Making Waves’ sees Fliptrix drive home messages about work ethic, dedication, but most significantly, SHELLING it down every time he touches the mic.

This comes ahead of the influential rapper’s tenth studio album titled ‘Dragonfly’, which drops on 14th August, 2024. Forged off grid and produced in full by Leaf Dog & Illinformed, ‘Dragonfly’ outlines a series of life-changing events that compelled Fliptrix to hole up in the studio to capture the true essence of his recent experiences in real time.

To mark the album, Fliptrix has announced a 9 date tour of the UK throughout October alongside DJ Jazz T. Taking in dates in major venues in London, Manchester, Bristol, Swansea, Brighton and more. Tickets are on sale now HERE.

From a basement studio in Camberwell to living off-grid in the Portuguese mountains, Fliptrix has always manifested his dreams in the music he makes. A cool fourteen years since establishing High Focus Records, the label continues to flourish; recently surpassing 285,000,000 views (and counting) on YouTube. Having contributed 9 x solo LPs and 3 x The Four Owls LPs to the HF canon (collaborating with legendary names such as DJ Premier and Roc Marciano along the way) his efforts continue to blur the lines between solo artist and label boss; championing the work of his peers, while putting the finishing touches to his tenth solo album at the very same time.
