PREMIERE: Weirdoe - WAS IT WORTH IT? (Mixtape)

By the close of 2023, Weirdoe had released two well received EP’s (BORN IN A BARN and SCUM) and was preparing to return to the studio to start work on his debut mixtape. Weirdoe and his team had already planned to explore more personal subject matters and alternative sounds in their approach to the project, but none of them could predict that life was about to throw a huge curve ball which would not only completely change the direction of the mixtape, but also the wordsmith's life forever.

In January of this year, Weirdoe’s older brother passed away. The loss the rapper experienced was all consuming and he admits the struggles he felt when trying to put pen to pad and working through his pain. After many late night sessions and treating music like therapy, Weirdoe has emerged from his heartache to present his debut mixtape, WAS IT WORTH IT?

Executively produced by long time collaborator Harlz, alongside production by Grimmm, WAS IT WORTH IT? Provides Weirdoe’s fans with a wide range of musical output, varying from hard hitting grime anthems to conscious boom bap jams reminiscent of the golden days of hip hop.

It’s not often that an upcoming artist would release such a diverse project as their debut mixtape, but Weirdoe and his team are clearly not afraid to delve into new territories and provide an experience which will stay in the listeners minds way past its run time.
