As we gear up for the release of his forthcoming project, the UK’s championed rap riser Arz has shared his latest single, “Age Like Wine”. Maintaining the drive of  his beloved lo-fi sound, “Age Like Wine” follows his June drop “Lickback” alongside newcomer Laicostina. Recently hosting a sold-out event in collaboration with designer clothing brand, BAPE, Arz is preparing for another pivotal year in his career as he gears up for his forthcoming project.

Best known for his lyrical substance, Arz has created formidable recognition for his use of vulnerability and emotion throughout his penmanship. Forming songs that detail the intricacies of love, both good and bad, the star-in-waiting has done exactly that with “Age Like Wine”. Exploring a relationship between two people that although may show its cracks occasionally, will stand the test of time due to the strong foundations built beneath the surface. Housing an ambient production courtesy of renowned UK producer Bkay [FKA Twigs, Jorja Smith, Central Cee, J Hus] the accompanying music video ties the story behind the track seamlessly.

Speaking on the release Arz stated, “‘Age like wine’ is one of them ones for real. Bkay on the production who absolutely snapped. It was sick to take a producer known for his drill sound and collaborate on something lighter and softer with him. This song is one of my favourites from the tape because of how smooth and introspective it is, the concept of two people ageing like fine wine. The idea of a journey between two people that isn’t necessarily straight forward but the bond is so strong regardless you know where you’re heading. The video represents that. We worked with MLN and Bape for the first time which was super dope. We incorporated younger versions of me and the actor in the music video for the first time to really bring the whole story/journey together.”

Finding a spot of virality back in 2021 with his platinum single “Alone With You” that reached number 25 in the UK Singles Chart, the 20-year-old artist has amassed  a substantial fanbase that reaches global recognition.
