Kalila - Faded Blue (Single)

London-based Neo-Soul singer, songwriter and artist Kalila shares her new single ‘Faded Blue’, out everywhere now.

Growing up in South-West London, Kalila has been captivating audiences with her blend of smoky, soulful vocals, thoughtful songwriting and sensual, jazzy melodies. Having grown up in South-West London, she absorbed a wide range of ideas, styles and influences, which comes across in her ability to transcend genres in her music.

Naming artists such as Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill as her biggest influences, her beautifully crafted deeply personal songs reflect the attitudes and complexities of contemporary urban life.

Her new single ‘Faded Blue’ explores the universal theme of love. She says, “I wrote this song about falling in love and how beautiful but overwhelming it can be. I started writing this song in my first ever studio session with my producer, and now good friend, Steve Knight.  We instantly got on and bonded over our love for soul music.

I hope that people find comfort in this track, and that it translates that raw emotion of falling in love and uplifts people.”

Having graced prestigious London venues such as Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, Dingwalls Camden and The Temple of Art and Music, she has left audiences enticed and spellbound. For the past year she has been in the studio with some of London’s most established producers, working on the creation of her highly anticipated new project.
