The world of electronica sets a lush electronic landscape, skillfully pushing the boundaries of sound and inviting adventurous exploration by all who attend. Jazz adds a layer of sophistication and depth, its improvisational nature encouraging spontaneity and collaboration among the diverse array of artists. With brilliant performances and an unmistakably palpable energy, We Out Here serves not merely as a festival, but as a vibrant community celebrating the extraordinary vitality and diversity of contemporary music.

Some of our standouts were corto.alto his musicality is beautiful and you can tell everyone in stage is having the best time. Hearing my favourite ‘Chubbby (48)’ live was an absolute treat for my ears. Sampha was hypnotic, mesmerising and had the crowd in the palm of his hand. His band is made up of musicians who are artists in their own right which I feel is really special and it shows. We danced our socks off to Obongjayar the rest of the crowd were dancing as much as we were. You could feel the collective joy everywhere you turned and it was delightful to look up at the screen and see my friend Rudi Creswick absolutely smashing it on the bass. Durrand Bernarr was a powerhouse, choreography, trinkets of advice he even DJed during his set. Honestly he had IT ALL by far my favourite performance of the festival. It was just himself and a drummer on stage and I think that is a testament to how incredible he really is. I cannot wait to see him on the main stage, I really think he is unstoppable and a stellar performer. Ego Ella May soothed our souls and I felt like I could float away in to clouds, singing along to ‘Girls Don’t Always Sing About Boys’. Loose Ends gave us so much life as they sung hit after hit. The sense of nostalgia swirled in the air as they whipped out memorable choreography, and the crowd were delighted singing along. They have the kind of music where you can’t help but smile until you face hurts. Bahamadia was amazing just Hip Hop royalty her flow was electric you could all but stand in complete awe of her artistry. Louie Vega & The Elements Of Life were stellar the musicianship on stage was second to none. The audience were blown away and loved every moment! Cassie Kinoshi x NikNak were beautiful giving us the jazzy genre-blending goodness that we all needed in our lives. Some of the DJs and collectives that stood out were Brighter Days, Fiyahdred, Eves’Drop Collective our favourite in the VIP area had to be Keanu. All of them got the crowd going hip moving and grooving.

The festival also emphasised high-quality food and drink offerings, arts and cultural offerings, crisp sound and production, family activities, and wellness: all to complement quality-led musical curation featuring seven-acre lakes, woodland parkland, and tucked-away spots to explore it offered festival goers a primed base to fully escape into the music for a full weekend. There was something for everyone this weekend.

Louie Vega at the bowl played all the tunes we needed to hear to end our time there. Looking around and see all the beautiful people I had a thought. Each unique experience is a cherished reminder of the profound power of rhythm and melody to unite individuals from all walks of life, coming together in their shared love for the beauty of sound.
