ELUCID - one half of pioneering hip-hop duo, Armand Hammer - has announced forthcoming solo album, REVELATOR, out 11th October on Fat Possum.  In tandem with the news, ELUCID has shared ominous lead single, INSTANT TRANSFER featuring his Armand Hammer partner, billy woods.

INSTANT TRANSFER is produced by Samiyam.  ELUCID recounts that he and woods recorded the track, "in Los Angeles at The Alchemist’s studio about to catch a flight to Australia.  With much momentum behind me/us and even more on the horizon, I knew a purpose.  I knew every step was ordered to that purpose."

Whilst INSTANT TRANSFER is relatively laid-back, a crackling urgency and intensity runs through the REVELATOR album like an underground power line.   Sonically, ELUCID says he, “wanted to get as freaky as I could”, which led to experiments with live instrumentation and creating noise drenched music with co-producer Jon Nellen, who comes from a background in avant-garde music.  Outside producers beyond ELUCID and Nellen include August Fanon, Child Actor, The Lasso, and DJ Haram.  And as well as woods on two tracks, REVELATOR features fellow NYC rappers Creature and Skech185.

REVELATOR is ELUCID’s third solo album following 2016’s Save Yourself and 2022’s I Told Bessie.  Beyond his endeavours in Armand Hammer and solo output, ELUCID also features on Shabaka Hutchings recent album, Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace.
