Sly5thAve - Liberation (Jamz Supernova & Sam Interface Remix) (Single)

Jamz Supernova and Sam Interface offer up a dancefloor-ready reimagining of Sly5thAve’s “Liberation”. Known for his sophisticated compositions and orchestral prowess, the track is taken from his critically acclaimed third album of the same name. The remix was premiered by Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC 6Music.

Label head, radio host, DJ, podcaster and true tastemaker Jamz Supernova brings her signature eclecticism and deep understanding of global music scenes, adding layers of nuanced rhythms and textures that transform the track into a cross-genre masterpiece. More Time Records co-founder Sam Interface contributes his renowned bass-heavy sound and dancefloor heat, injecting a powerful groove and infectious energy. This collaboration highlights the power of reinterpretation, offering a new and exciting take on a beloved track.

Alongside the release, Sly5thAve announces two nights of live performances (21/22 Nov) at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club as part of EFG London Jazz Festival and a date at Brighton’s Prince Albert on 24th Nov. These dates follow a highly praised sold out performance at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club earlier this year.

“All my music is deeply personal – but “Liberation” is a big tune for me. When I found out Jamz Supernova and Sam Interface wanted to remix it, I was super excited because Jamz has continued to be a big supporter of my music from the beginning and I knew if she was gonna be involved, it was going to be quality… Oh my GOD, was I right!

I love their spin on it—it’s danceable, fun, hard, sexy and has all of the things that you want when you’re on the dance floor. I was blown away when I heard it. The sound was more different than I could have imagined and I think that’s the beautiful thing about remixes—they breathe new life into a tune. Now all I can think about is the next Jamz x Sam Interface collab because this can’t be the last. Something original!” - Sly5thAve
