MadStarbase x BC Azad - Aayega Kal (MadStarbase Remix)

Delhi-based hip-hop DJ duo MadStarbase follow up their recent UKG-infused collaboration “Element”, alongside David Marston, and heavy-hitting single “Ganja Man” featuring London lyricist Killa P with a brand new remix of BC Azad’sAayega Kal”. The track is out now via boxout.fm’s hip-hop label AfterShock Records — the first Indian hip-hop imprint.

MadStarBase, the remix kings of India, reimagine BC Azad's popular track "Aayega Kal" with a fresh twist, blending the original's experimental hip-hop vibe with club-ready beats. This remix was first unleashed during DJ MoCity's Boiler Room set, bringing a new energy to “Aayega Kal”. The original track, crafted by BC Azad and National Animal, offers a poetic narrative that low-rides through Kolkata, mixing Hindi and English storytelling over a slow-burning, genre-defying beat. The MadStarBase remix adds a fresh dimension, set to keep dance floors moving and the speakers thumping.

MadStarBase, consisting of Anant Ahuja and Neal Sekhri, have made a significant mark on the Indian music scene over the past few years, making waves primarily with their Mollywood brand (remixes of iconic and popular silver-era retro Bollywood and desi tracks) of which they have three series so far. From their most popular track “First Kiss”, alongside Sik Vik and RiSK (over 418K Spotify streams and counting), to more recent singles such as “Zelda” and “Fsho”, the Indian duo continue to bring their unique blend to an international audience and celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage and modern musical landscape.

Having made their coveted Boiler Room debut last year in Goa and coming fresh from a recent Apple Music Mix, MadStarBase have continued to platform their innovative sound with an exclusive performance at the Indian Olympic House in Paris last month as part of a series of cultural showcases which aim to provide a platform for Indian artists to display their talent on one of the biggest global stages. The duo will also be landing at The Cause on 7th September for Dialled In as part of the boxout.fm takeover.

With plenty more releases on the horizon, MadStarBase’s expertise marks them as a versatile and multi-disciplinary talent. Continuing to evolve in sound and vision, 2024 looks to be another milestone year for the Dehli-based pair.
