TB x Shadow On The Beat - THE EMERGENCY EP (EP) + 10 Questions

 

Wolverhamptons Rising star “TB” has linked up with Birminghams legend “Shadow On The Beat” in the making of the project named “THE EMERGENCY EP”.

Shadow On The Beat is a huge producer in the music scene based in Birmingham having worked with huge names such as Mist, Tunde, Potter Payper, Central Cee & M Huncho.

The EP officially released Saturday 7th September on all digital platforms (including Spotify, iTunes & Apple Music).

This multi genre EP has five tracks on it show casing the rappers ability to flow on any sort of song with many lyrical masterpieces.

Hard copies of the project got put on the shelf in HMV’s Wolverhampton branch & immediately sold out having both signed copies and normal for anybody who came to the launch day.

The leading track for the project named “Work Rate” shows TB’s musical flow & ability to shell down the mic.

TB sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer our infamous 10 Questions:

1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?

My love for music started when I realised I was going down the wrong path in life getting into trouble with police & chilling with the wrong crowds, I had a few family members and links within the music scene so I kind of used music as a way of bettering my life and changing my ways.

2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?

Artist that influence me range from the newer artists the likes of Chip, Ghetts, Central Cee & Potter Payper, all the way to the older generation of artists such as Eminem & Tupac.

3. What projects do you have coming up and can you give us any info on them?

I have many up n coming projects in the pipeline, I can’t shed too much light on them at them moment but huge things are coming.

4. How would you describe your sound?

My sound is my own, I couldn’t compare it to anything else nor would I put myself in any particular pockets but I would class myself as a grime / rap artist.

5. What's your proudest moment to date so far as an artist?

My proudest moment so far in my musical journey would have to be opening the finals for Englands boxing team at the Common Wealth Games in 2022 which was held at the NEC in Birmingham also being aired & interviewed on ITV news.

6. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to play the mad game of music?

My advice to anyone who’s trying to pursue music would be to keep grinding, keep learning the craft and as soon as you find your sound press the gas and just go for it.

7. Are there any artists on your radar right now that we should check out?

Artists on my radar right now that I feel like you should check out are the likes of JMan, YBH QTEE, Isla Wolfe & GHXST.

8. What albums are on heavy rotation on your Spotify playlist currently?

Albums that are on heavy rotation on my Spotify right now would have to be Strandz’s - No Time.

9. What do you like to do when you're not making music?

When I’m not making music I’m working my 9 to 5 job which is traffic management apart from that it’s music, music, music from the studio to photoshoots from there to shows.

10. Name Three things you can't live without when in the studio?

Three things I can’t live without when I’m in the studio would have to be drinks definitely a magnum top of my list, food & snacks and also my phone so I can take plenty of content.
