Renowned singer Maverick Sabre makes a powerful return with his first solo single of the year, "Roses Ether," co-produced alongside longtime collaborator Zach Nahome (Bakar, Biig Piig, Pinkpantheress). "Roses Ether" is a profoundly introspective masterpiece, a conversation Sabre has with himself and an open invitation for listeners to do the same. The song serves as a passionate reminder to keep the inner fire alive or rekindle it if it has dimmed. Musically, Sabre ventures into uncharted territory, pushing the boundaries of his vocal and sonic expression while stepping up the tempo. The liberating bassline underpins the track, while Sabre’s emotive vocal acrobatics convey a raw and compelling intensity. When speaking on the single Maverick explains “The song ‘Roses Ether’ is a simple spark under my own feet to ask myself am I ready for change and how urgently am I ready to act. The video is just a chaotic representation of it. But it’s all made to be open to interpretation. What do you take from it?”

The single is paired with an Ivor Adamah-Lawson-directed black-and-white video, beautifully and chaotically shot to capture every essence of the song's mood and message. When speaking on the visual, Ivor stated “We’re in this space now. The visuals are following the sonics into this mad world, and having the grace to grapple with the bigger questions of self, higher powers, God, our own agency, the current milieu, and everything else is undeniably an exciting place to be. To anyone here for the Maverick Sabre journey, new and old, I don’t know if you’re prepared for this next chapter. This is your first call to ready yourselves; more to come.”

In today's music landscape, few can claim a career spanning over a decade, but Irish singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Maverick Sabre stands among them. With four albums under his belt and collaborations with artists like George The Poet, Ghetts, Nia Archives, Joey Bada$$, Chronixx, Jorja Smith, Nile Rogers, Vintage Culture and Chase & Status, to name a few, Sabre has kept himself busy. When he's not creating his solo music, he's writing songs with others or releasing tracks with YOURS, a dynamic four-piece House music collective. He’s a testament to the notion that creativity knows no bounds and that quality music transcends time, trends, and fleeting moments of virality.

Born in Hackney, Stoke Newington, Maverick Sabre moved to Ireland when he was four, spending his formative years in County Wexford before returning to the capital when he was seventeen.  Raised on a rich musical diet of Blues, Folk, and Country passed down from his father, he developed an early and unshakable passion for music. This love evolved as he dove into the Irish Hip-Hop scene as a young teen, quickly gaining recognition as both an MC and a producer, crafting beats throughout his adolescence. Over the years, his sound has evolved into a distinctive fusion of his diverse influences, drawing further inspiration from trailblazers like The Stone Roses, The Beatles, Tupac, Cymande, 9th Wonder, DJ Premier, and Nas. His creativity is further fueled by a deep love for classic and contemporary film, and Sabre also draws inspiration from the dynamic interplay between the vibrancy of city life and the tranquillity of nature. His career can be traced through distinct album eras and divided between his time with a major label and his journey as an independent artist. Recently, Sabre marked the 10th anniversary of his debut album, “Lonely Are The Brave”, by re-recording it to regain ownership of the masters. This process was more than just a nostalgic trip down memory lane; it was a powerful reminder of the hunger that drove him in 2012. That reflection reignited a sense of urgency, fueling this new chapter, which begins with the release of "Roses Ether."
