Grammy-nominated artist, producer and label-head TOKiMONSTA has announced her ambitious new studio album, Eternal Reverie, now slated for release March 7th via Young Art Records - Pre-save HERE. Along with this exciting announcement, TOKi has teamed up with thrilling LA duo grouptherapy. to deliver her latest single and music video, “Feel It.”.
“Feel It” seamlessly blends TOKiMONSTA's signature ethereal soundscape and lush chord progressions with grouptherapy.’s avant-garde creative approach to deliver a house and hip-hop boundary-pushing dancefloor anthem. The song’s pumping 4-on-the-floor kick drum, swinging bassline, and whirling synth keys lay the foundation for grouptherapy. to masterfully deliver a high-energy barrage of party-inducing lyrics and soulful vocals. Directed by Andrpw, the accompanying music video features TOKiMONSTA and grouptherapy., radiating with neon lights through a kaleidoscope-style lens, while a group of dancers flood the scene with alternating choreography. Emphasizing the song’s uplifting aura, their high-energy breakdancing and dynamic routines turn everyday chores into a thrilling journey. Showcasing their humour, a hilarious inflatable clown makes a playful appearance, visually complementing the track's whimsical energy.
The new collaboration marks TOKi’s comeback single following the album's postponement last fall, when she stepped away from music to care for her best friend before she passed away. Originally started as the first project where TOKiMONSTA fully dedicated herself to the creative process of making an album, Eternal Reverie has now become a way for TOKi to honour her friend’s memory. TOKiMONSTA first previewed Eternal Reverie with “Switch It,” a high-octane deep house banger featuring Cakes da Killa and GAWD. She continued to unveil the album with the irresistibly catchy samba-inspired “Corazon / Death By Disco Pt. 2,” followed by “On Sum,” featuring longtime collaborator Anderson .Paak and Rae Khalil, in which its heartfelt music video stars TOKi as a laundromat attendant who witnesses an older couple fall in love during her shift. Her most recent single, “For You,” features multi-instrumentalist Kaelin Ellis, whom TOKi connected with through social media prior to their collaboration. TOKi states, “‘For You’ is a reflection of my journey forward, embracing joy and connection through music.” Prior to the album’s postponement, TOKi collaborated with aespa on their track “Die Trying,” featured Netflix’s Rebel Moon: Songs of the Rebellion EP, starred in a global commercial campaign for AT&T, and teamed up with Candy Crush Saga on her track “Floating,” which was featured in their Music Season tournament campaign that included a Candy Crush Game inspired music video directed by WATTS along with music from Kimbra and Łaszewo.
